I'm so sick.. what's wrong with me?

Last week on probably Wednessday I realized i was sick, then the teacher gave us all a warning about pertusis (the "whooping" cough) going around. I had all the symptoms, which is all symptoms of a cold which clears up in about 5 days, then you just have a cough. It's been over 5 days and I still kind of have a stuffed nose but I don't sneeze quite as much or anything anymore. I was positive i had Pertusis but I'm really not sure anymore. I can't stop coughing, i have coughing attacks and can't breathe, and the teachers are constantly telling me to go home. I get really bad pains in my chest when i cough, I even have them when i talk and breathe. My friend said she felt the same when she had bronchitis.. today one of the teachers said "some students think they have the whooping cough and think nothing of it, but i think a few may have something much more serious and NEED to see a doctor' he looked at me the entire time. I can't go to the doctor, i don't have insurance. I'm sure if it is too serious i can go.. but i'm still not sure if it is.
