Actually Banamine is approved for IV or IM injections. I have heard stories of reactions to IM injections, and was told by my vet to use the IV route. The real danger is if the needle goes through (or misses) the vein and ends up in an artery. But if your horses are not showing any reactions to the meds or the feed, I bet all is good. If the 70 pounds was spread evenly between the 4 horses, it is not a HUGE amount of feed.
