Does It Make Sense To Travel Through Colombia In June? I hear it's a really rainy season.?

I want to travel most of the country for 3 weeks, but I am afraid its going to rain badly all day almost everyday. I also want to travel through the Amazon. Any other recommendations in South/Central America?
