Time Dilation perceived by viewer question?

I understand how time dilation works and why time is slowed down, I am just trying to comprehend how a long journey traveled by a spaceship traveling close to the speed of light would be perceived by a viewer. For the sake of the question lets suppose I am traveling 600 million miles per hour and my destination is 600 miles away. Even though it would take me an hour to get there would the people on earth have to wait years just to see me complete my destination. Let's supposed they are witnessing the whole journey via TV. If this is the case they would perceive me traveling extremely slow?
