Why isn't my msn working?

i was on msn the other night, it worked fine. i turned off my comp and went back on later, msn wasnt working. it wasnt working the next morning and it still isnt working today. it says something is wrong with the keyports. and i have improper proxy or firewall settings? i dont get it it was working just fine and i didnt change anything. i thought by downloading a newer version of it might help but it didnt.this is a really new version and no one i know has it. can someone please help me!
